DESCRIPTION:Our Haybale Maze is coming back for summer 2022! \n\n\n\n\n\nLooking for some fun things to do in summer 2022? Then you should visit our one-of-a-kind haybale maze!  \n\n\n\nOur giant maze is built using large straw bales provided by local farmers and makes for the perfect environment for big and little kids alike to climb\, jump\, run\, and play. The maze will be open throughout the whole of the summer holidays and we’ll be running lots of different activities and events throughout; including crafting workshops\, music workshops\, a sculpture treasure trail\, and our amazing national playday event.  \n\n\n\nThe maze is open throughout the school summer holidays; opening Monday\, July 18th and closing Friday\, August 19th; so drop in anytime between these dates to climb and play!

To promote this\, Geilsland has established itself as a local hub for local activities\, classes\, events\, and opportunities for learning and growth. Bringing these opportunities to life has\, and will continue\, to create an environment which fosters financial\, social\, and cultural growth for the Garnock Valley.  \n\n\n\nThe North Ayrshire community has continuously supported us across the years\, and as such we want to involve you as much as possible as we work on our progress. Now; we’re looking to Geilsland Country Estate’s Future. Lee Ivett is an award winning architect\, designer\, artist and urbanist with a equally impressive track record of developing transformational long term projects with third sector organizations.    Developing low-budget socially-focused projects from scratch as a means of identifying ideas and developing local agency and capacity and consequently generating activity that ultimately creates a demand for the social\, cultural\, economic and environmental re-imagination of place.  His expertise and guidance has shaped the work of Beith Trust from the outset.

DESCRIPTION:Guitar lessons are back! Beginning on Wednesday\, October 5th we’ll be running weekly guitar lessons for young people (both beginners and improvers) for only £15 for the whole 10 weeks. Don’t worry; we have spare equipment you can use if you don’t have your own! \n\n\n\nBeginners \n\n\n\nBeginners’ lessons are perfect for those who have never played the guitar before and are interested in learning. In this session you’ll learn the anatomy of a guitar\, how to play a variety of chords\, to read a chord chart and TAB notations\, and play a number of songs and riffs! Beginner sessions will run from 3:45pm – 4:15pm. \n\n\n\nImprovers \n\n\n\nImprover lessons are for those who are a bit more confident\, have played the guitar before\, and can play a couple of chords or riffs. DESCRIPTION:An unfogettable music experience\n\n\n\nBand factory is back! Our biggest and best music event of the year is back for round two of 2022. Beginning on Monday\, October 17th\, we’re inviting you along to a week-long\, unforgettable\, musical experience that’s suitable for any style of musician.  \n\n\n\nWondering if band factory is for you? If you’re a young person\, between the ages of 12 and 18\, and you can play an instrument (any instrument at all; we’ve even had bagpipe players before!) then you’re the perfect fit. Beginning on Monday October 17th\, you’ll first be introduced to our team\, and the wonderful Pryde Kilwinning who will be mentoring you across the week\, and then your bands will be formed. From there you’ll spend the next couple of days deciding on your setlist\, practising and having a jam with your new band. To celebrate and showcase your hard work and practise; at the end of the week you’ll be playing a set at our Beer Hall mainstage!  \n\n\n\nIt’s a great opportunity for young musicians. Not only to showcase their talents and perform infront of a live audience; but also to make some musically minded friends. Or maybe even be part of the Garnock Valley’s next biggest band! We’ve seen many successful musicians and bands come through our band factory project; and you could be next. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now! Spaces are limited so to avoid disappointment we advice you book in as soon as you can. The full weeks worth of activities is only £20 per person. \n\n\n\nJam sessions will run from 10am – 3pm and the gig will take place on Saturday 22nd October\, time TBC. Bring a packed lunch for your jam sessions (or pop into Mocha Jaks if you fancy). \n\n\n\nWe’ll be taking regular photos and videos of both the jam sessions and the gig performance. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to not be photographed or filmed. We also have spare equipment available if you would like to partake but don’t have an instrument of your own. DESCRIPTION:We’re hosting a brand new series of Ceramic classes for adults and kids! Join us at our Geilsland Estate Studio on Monday October 17th to try your hand at ceramics. Work with a proper kiln and ceramic paints to create your own masterpieces. Make your own mugs\, Christmas decoration\, Halloween ceramic\, or whatever else takes your fancy! \n\n\n\nAdult ceramic class \n\n\n\nOur adult ceramic class will run on Monday October 17th from 5pm – 7pm and is only £10 per person. Work with a proper kiln and create your own ceramic creation. They will then be transferred to be fired and a week later you can collect your brand new\, handmade\, beauty.  \n\n\n\nChild ceramic class \n\n\n\nOur child ceramic classes will run on Monday October 17th from 10am – 1pm. Classes are only £5 per person. During your chosen class you will work with clay to make your very own project and then beautify it with a selection of paints and sealers. DESCRIPTION:Our Comedy night is back for round 3! Join us on Friday November 25th for a night of laughs\, drinks\, and friends. Beginning at 7:30pm in Geilsland Events Hall we’ll be welcoming the wonderful Scott Agnew\, Ronnie Black\, Rosco McClelland and MC Viv Gee. A bit more about our headliners can be found below: \n\n\n\nScott Agnew \n\n\n\nScott Agnew is a critically acclaimed\, Glaswegian\, comedian who has performed across the UK and internationally. Before winning Scottish Comedian of the Year 2008\, Scott was a decorated journalist with many previous television credits and radio appearances. Scott is now a regular MC and headliner with multiple successful performances. He has performed to crowds of 12\,000 plus with one of Scotland’s most well-known comedians; Kevin Bridges\, and supported Jim Jeffries on the Scottish leg of his tour and Sean Hughes the following year.  \n\n\n\nRonnie Black \n\n\n\nRonnie Black is next in our lineup and another well-loved comedy icon. A confident and outgoing performer\, Ronnie has a special talent for storytelling and self-deprecating humour as he shares his life story with audiences; from school to the current day.  \n\n\n\nRosco McClelland  \n\n\n\nRosco McClelland is another powerhouse of comedy and one of the top Twitch streamers on the site. Winner of both the Scottish Comedian of the Year 2016 and the Best Scottish Compere 2020\, Rosco is a truly gifted performer with natural charisma and talent. \n\n\n\nMC Viv Gee \n\n\n\nViv Gee is a well-known Scottish comedian\, poet\, writer\, actor and veteran performer. A So You Think You’re Funny and BBC Open Mic Awards finalist\, Viv is a sharp\, witty\, and intelligent comedian with a flare for versatility and storytelling. DESCRIPTION:Calling all princesses and superheroes! We’re hosting our very first princesses and superheroes Christmas party at Beith Community Centre on Saturday\, December 17th. We’ll be running two sessions; the first from 11am – 1pm and the second from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. During the sessions\, we’ll be having a teddy bear picnic\, snacks and drinks\, music and art\, and lots of games and activities. This event is suitable for children aged 5 – 12\, but younger children are more than welcome provided they have supervision. Dress up is highly encouraged\, but please ensure to also bring weather-appropriate\, outdoor clothing. \n\n\n\nBooking is necessary as spaces are limited! This event is completely free for all\, but we ask that if you are able you donate to our Christmas toy drive. We’ll be accepting donations of any toys your little ones might not use anymore or that they’ve outgrown and these will be given to local foodbank to give out in their Christmas parcels. DESCRIPTION:Got a new bike over Christmas? Set yourself a new years resolution to work on your fitness? Or just looking for a way to get out of the house and enjoy the Scottish scenery and some fresh air? Either way\, we’ve got the perfect thing for you! \n\n\n\nIntroducing our next round of monthly led cycles! Beginning in January we will be running 3 monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run on Saturday January 14th\, Saturday February 11th\, and Saturday March 11th from 9:30am – 11am. Leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. We’ll provide all the equipment you’ll need; you just need to show up and learn. We’ll cover all the basics of a drum kit and how to properly use one while making some beautiful music.
