SUMMARY:Guitar Lessons
DESCRIPTION:Guitar lessons are back! Beginning on Wednesday\, October 5th we’ll be running weekly guitar lessons for young people (both beginners and improvers) for only £15 for the whole 10 weeks. Don’t have your own guitar but still want to learn? Don’t worry; we have spare equipment you can use if you don’t have your own! \n\n\n\nBeginners \n\n\n\nBeginners’ lessons are perfect for those who have never played the guitar before and are interested in learning. In this session you’ll learn the anatomy of a guitar\, how to play a variety of chords\, to read a chord chart and TAB notations\, and play a number of songs and riffs! Beginner sessions will run from 3:45pm – 4:15pm. \n\n\n\nImprovers \n\n\n\nImprover lessons are for those who are a bit more confident\, have played the guitar before\, and can play a couple of chords or riffs. In this session you will be learning a variety of chords\, to play songs using chord charts\, playing riffs and reading TAB notations and some basic music theory. Improver sessions will run from: 4:15pm – 5pm. \n\n\n\nThese lessons will run every week on Wednesdays at Geilsland Country Estate’s Studio. We’re running an exciting new 10-week block booking of drumming lessons for young people in the Garnock Valley; every Thursday at Geilsland Country Estate Studio. DESCRIPTION:An unfogettable music experience\n\n\n\nBand factory is back! Our biggest and best music event of the year is back for round two of 2022. Beginning on Monday\, October 17th\, we’re inviting you along to a week-long\, unforgettable\, musical experience that’s suitable for any style of musician.  \n\n\n\nWondering if band factory is for you? If you’re a young person\, between the ages of 12 and 18\, and you can play an instrument (any instrument at all; we’ve even had bagpipe players before!) then you’re the perfect fit. Beginning on Monday October 17th\, you’ll first be introduced to our team\, and the wonderful Pryde Kilwinning who will be mentoring you across the week\, and then your bands will be formed. From there you’ll spend the next couple of days deciding on your setlist\, practising and having a jam with your new band. To celebrate and showcase your hard work and practise; at the end of the week you’ll be playing a set at our Beer Hall mainstage!  \n\n\n\nIt’s a great opportunity for young musicians. Not only to showcase their talents and perform infront of a live audience; but also to make some musically minded friends. Or maybe even be part of the Garnock Valley’s next biggest band! We’ve seen many successful musicians and bands come through our band factory project; and you could be next. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now! Spaces are limited so to avoid disappointment we advice you book in as soon as you can. The full weeks worth of activities is only £20 per person. \n\n\n\nJam sessions will run from 10am – 3pm and the gig will take place on Saturday 22nd October\, time TBC. Bring a packed lunch for your jam sessions (or pop into Mocha Jaks if you fancy). \n\n\n\nWe’ll be taking regular photos and videos of both the jam sessions and the gig performance. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to not be photographed or filmed. We also have spare equipment available if you would like to partake but don’t have an instrument of your own. DESCRIPTION:We’re hosting a brand new series of Ceramic classes for adults and kids! Join us at our Geilsland Estate Studio on Monday October 17th to try your hand at ceramics. Work with a proper kiln and ceramic paints to create your own masterpieces. Make your own mugs\, Christmas decoration\, Halloween ceramic\, or whatever else takes your fancy! \n\n\n\nAdult ceramic class \n\n\n\nOur adult ceramic class will run on Monday October 17th from 5pm – 7pm and is only £10 per person. Work with a proper kiln and create your own ceramic creation. They will then be transferred to be fired and a week later you can collect your brand new\, handmade\, beauty.  \n\n\n\nChild ceramic class \n\n\n\nOur child ceramic classes will run on Monday October 17th from 10am – 1pm. Classes are only £5 per person. During your chosen class you will work with clay to make your very own project and then beautify it with a selection of paints and sealers. A great way to be messy\, have fun\, and get your own creation at the end! We’re running our very own wizarding school at Beith Astro\, beginning on October 20th at 10am. Every Thursday we’ll be exploring magic\, learning spells\, making potions\, and so much more. The activities are only £5 per child (perfect for ages 5 – 13) for all 5 activities and they will run;  \n\n\n\nSorting Day – Thursday 20th October – 10am- 3pm  \n\n\n\nOur first lesson will be your sorting ceremony where you’ll be placed into your magical houses and get to make your very own wand that you’ll be using throughout. Learn some spells and play some games as we begin our magical 5 weeks! \n\n\n\nMagical Creatures – Thursday 27 October – 3.30pm – 5pm  \n\n\n\nThis week we’ll be joined by a local witch and professor of magical creatures; Michelle from Winslow Arts! She’ll be teaching us magical crafts\, helping us make dragon eggs and more! \n\n\n\nHerbology – Thursday 3 November – 3:30pm – 5pm \n\n\n\n This week we’ll be learning about magical plants and making our very own mini gardens and seed bombs with our herbology professor. \n\n\n\nPotions – Thursday 10 November  – 3:30pm – 5pm \n\n\n\nLove potions\, invisibility potions\, or even a potion of living death?! DESCRIPTION:Our Comedy night is back for round 3! Join us on Friday November 25th for a night of laughs\, drinks\, and friends. A bit more about our headliners can be found below: \n\n\n\nScott Agnew \n\n\n\nScott Agnew is a critically acclaimed\, Glaswegian\, comedian who has performed across the UK and internationally. Before winning Scottish Comedian of the Year 2008\, Scott was a decorated journalist with many previous television credits and radio appearances. Scott is now a regular MC and headliner with multiple successful performances. He has performed to crowds of 12\,000 plus with one of Scotland’s most well-known comedians; Kevin Bridges\, and supported Jim Jeffries on the Scottish leg of his tour and Sean Hughes the following year.  \n\n\n\nRonnie Black \n\n\n\nRonnie Black is next in our lineup and another well-loved comedy icon. A confident and outgoing performer\, Ronnie has a special talent for storytelling and self-deprecating humour as he shares his life story with audiences; from school to the current day.  \n\n\n\nRosco McClelland  \n\n\n\nRosco McClelland is another powerhouse of comedy and one of the top Twitch streamers on the site. Winner of both the Scottish Comedian of the Year 2016 and the Best Scottish Compere 2020\, Rosco is a truly gifted performer with natural charisma and talent. \n\n\n\nMC Viv Gee \n\n\n\nViv Gee is a well-known Scottish comedian\, poet\, writer\, actor and veteran performer. A So You Think You’re Funny and BBC Open Mic Awards finalist\, Viv is a sharp\, witty\, and intelligent comedian with a flare for versatility and storytelling. SUMMARY:Princesses and Superheroes Christmas Party
DESCRIPTION:Calling all princesses and superheroes! We’re hosting our very first princesses and superheroes Christmas party at Beith Community Centre on Saturday\, December 17th. We’ll be running two sessions; the first from 11am – 1pm and the second from 1:30pm – 3:30pm. During the sessions\, we’ll be having a teddy bear picnic\, snacks and drinks\, music and art\, and lots of games and activities. This event is suitable for children aged 5 – 12\, but younger children are more than welcome provided they have supervision. Dress up is highly encouraged\, but please ensure to also bring weather-appropriate\, outdoor clothing. \n\n\n\nBooking is necessary as spaces are limited! This event is completely free for all\, but we ask that if you are able you donate to our Christmas toy drive. We’ll be accepting donations of any toys your little ones might not use anymore or that they’ve outgrown and these will be given to local foodbank to give out in their Christmas parcels. Leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. DESCRIPTION:An exciting new event to celebrate all things Scottish and raise funds for the Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and the Garnock Community Campus Parent’s Council!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us as we gather to celebrate all things Scottish this February at our Scottish Celebration Night! On Friday\, February 17th\, we will be hosting our first-ever Scottish celebration night at Geilsland Estate; celebrating all things Scottish and raising funds for our local community groups; The Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and the Garnock Community Campus Parent’s Council. \n\n\n\nWe’ll have a host of Scottish singers\, musicians and bands; including the excellent Binky Blue\, as well as a Scottish Ceilidh to round off the evening. FizBuzz will be back once again with their fully stocked bar; offering plenty of prosecco\, spirits\, and soft drinks (so no excuses for not dancing at the Ceilidh; you’ll have plenty of liquid courage available!)\, and we’ll have a charity raffle available too. Every ticket holder will be provided with a free\, hot\, pie; either haggis or macaroni\, with their purchase of a ticket\, and under 12’s will be provided with a small snack.  \n\n\n\nTickets are priced as follows: \n\n\n\nAdult Tickets – £7 \n\n\n\n12-18yrs Ticket – £4 \n\n\n\nUnder 12’s Ticket – Free \n\n\n\nTable of 6 Ticket – £35 (saving you £7 in total!) \n\n\n\nThis is a great event for the whole family and it’s sure to be a blast. DESCRIPTION:Introducing our next round of monthly led cycles! Beginning in January we will be running 3 monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run on Saturday January 14th\, Saturday February 11th\, and Saturday March 11th from 9:30am – 11am. Leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day at Geilsland Estate by celebrating creative women in Ayrshire! \n\n\n\nInternational women’s day is a worldwide day dedicated to celebrating the various political\, social\, personal\, and creative successes of women across the world. To join in this celebration\, Geilsland will be hosting our very own international women’s day event to celebrate the creative women in Ayrshire and raise vital funds for North Ayrshire Women’s Aid.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll have loads to do at the event! We’ll have over 25 stalls run by local women selling their designs\, art\, jewellery\, and more in our main hall alongside live music onstage from local female musicians and bands. Upstairs in our studio space\, we will be hosting various different workshops across the day. These workshops will run as follows: \n\n\n\nMummy & Me Music Workshop | 10:30- 11am \n\n\n\nOur Mummy & Me Music workshop will be running from 10:30am – 11am for children 12 months and younger. We’ll have sensory play\, music\, singing\, puppets\, and so much more for only £3 per child. You can get your tickets below. \n\n\n\nToddler’s Music Group | 11:30am – 12:15PM \n\n\n\nSimilar to our Mummy & Me workshop we will also be offering a toddler music workshop for 2 – 5 year olds from 11:30pm – 12:15pm. We’ll be playing parachute games\, singing nursery rhymes\, doing bounce and rhyme songs and games\, and much more for only £3 per child. \n\n\n\nTripleAct Drama Workshop | 12:45pm – 1:30pm \n\n\n\nA drama workshop for women focused on improvisation\, theatre techniques and therapeutic skills. This workshop is for over 16 year olds and is only £5 per person. \n\n\n\nWomen’s Beginner’s Self-defence Workshop | 2pm – 2:45pm \n\n\n\nLearn basic self-defence techniques that use minimum force but maximum efficiency! Pressure points\, locks\, and defence techniques that could help you in a tricky situation. Only £5 per person. \n\n\n\nBurlesque Workshop | 3:15pm – 4pm \n\n\n\nA beginners burlesque workshop open to all ladies over 16; no matter their size\, shape\, or fitness level. This workshop is only £5 per person and looks to be a lot of fun! \n\n\n\nEntry to the overall event is completely free; but workshops are ticketed and very limited so if you’re interested make sure you book sooner rather than later!

SUMMARY:3 Week Beginner's Cycling Course
DESCRIPTION:This beginner’s cycling course\, running for 3 weeks\, is aimed at individuals new to cycling\, those that haven’t been on a bike for a while or for individuals looking to build confidence in certain aspects of their cycling or maintenance. Our instructor is on hand to tailor the session to your needs. You can choose to register for one or all three of them\, the choice is yours. Places are limited so please register now to avoid disappointment. Participants should bring their own bike with them to use\, but if they don’t have their own have a few bikes we are able to loan out. Please let us know in advance if you need one. \n\n\n\nOn Bike Skills – 19th March between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nIn a safe environment away from traffic and obstacles learn how to go on a bike\, use gears correctly\, use your brakes with confidence\, and steer with ease amongst many other bike skills.   \n\n\n\nBasic Bike Maintenance – 26th March between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nLearn how to take the back wheel off\, fix a puncture\, perform a simple bike check\, and perform many other maintenance skills. \n\n\n\nMaintenance/Led Cycle – 2nd April between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nA brief session on essential maintenance followed by a leisurely cycle in the nearby area. \n\n\n\nThis course is aimed at those over 8 years old and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We also strongly advise that all attendees wear a helmet when cycling for their own safety and try to wear high-visibility clothing. DESCRIPTION:Our Easter camp at the Astro is back for another year of Easter fun! This camp will run out of Beith Astro every weekday over the easter holidays with lots of art activities\, sports activities and lots of different sessions to keep the kids busy and entertained.  \n\n\n\nEaster camp is totally free\, but spaces are limited so if you’re interested we suggest you book your space ASAP! The days will run from 10am – 2pm and an appropriate parent or guardian must be present for both collection and pick-up. For safety reasons we cannot release a child from the camp unless a parent or guardian is present to sign them out. You must also ensure that your child is registered with Beith Trust before booking your space. This can be done here! \n\n\n\nChildren are welcome to bring toys from home\, however\, we cannot be held liable for any damage or loss of items. We suggest they don’t bring expensive toys and games like Nintendo Switch\, etc. as these can be broken or lost easily. Please bring a packed lunch with you; we will have small snacks available but not lunches. If your child is under 5 years old and would like to attend they must have a parent or guardian present with them throughout the whole day.New spaces are available! SUMMARY:Ceramics Taster Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We’re bringing a ceramic taster session back to the Studio in Geilsland! Come along and have a try on a potter’s wheel\, do some pottery painting and have a go at clay hand building! We have two separate sessions; one for children from 10am – 12pm and one for Adults from 6pm – 8pm; both on Tuesday 4th of April. This is a great activity for the whole family and gives you the chance to try out using a pottery wheel. Tickets are only £7 for children and £10 for the adult session.  \n\n\n\nDue to high demand we’ve added another session! This new session is mixed for both adults and children\, and this session will run from 2pm – 4pm at £15 per ticket. Each ticket will provide entry for 1 adult and 1 child\, and each child attending must have an adult accompany them. Therefore; if you have two children who wish to attend you would buy two mixed session tickets and this will allow 2 children and 2 adults entry.  \n\n\n\nIf you haven’t already please ensure you’ve signed up with Beith Trust before you purchase your tickets. DESCRIPTION:An unforgettable music experience \n\n\n\nBand factory is back! Our biggest and best music event of the year is back for 2023. Beginning on Monday\, April 10th\, we’re inviting you along to a week-long\, unforgettable\, musical experience that’s suitable for any style of musician. \n\n\n\nWondering if band factory is for you? If you’re a young person\, between the ages of 12 and 18\, and you can play an instrument (any instrument at all; we’ve even had bagpipe players before!) then you’re the perfect fit! Beginning on Monday April 10th\, you’ll first be introduced to our team\, and the wonderful Pryde Kilwinning who will be mentoring you across the week\, and then your bands will be formed. From there you’ll spend the next couple of days deciding on your setlist\, practising and having a jam with your new band. At the end of the week you’ll be playing a set at our showcase event to celebrate and showcase your hard work and practise. \n\n\n\nIt’s a great opportunity for young musicians. Not only to showcase their talents and perform in front of a live audience; but also to make some musically minded friends. Or maybe even be part of the Garnock Valley’s next biggest band! We’ve seen many successful musicians and bands come through our band factory project; and you could be next. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now! Spaces are limited so to avoid disappointment we advise you book in as soon as you can. The full weeks worth of activities is only £20 per person. \n\n\n\nJam sessions will run from 11am – 4pm and the gig will take place on Saturday 15nd April\, time TBC. Bring a packed lunch for your jam sessions (or pop into Mocha Jaks if you fancy).  \n\n\n\nWe’ll be taking regular photos and videos of both the jam sessions and the gig performance. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to not be photographed or filmed. We also have spare equipment available if you would like to partake but don’t have an instrument of your own. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run on Saturday April 8th and Saturday May 13th from 9:30am – 12pm. Leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. DESCRIPTION:Guitar lessons are back! Beginning on Wednesday\, May 17th we’ll be running weekly guitar lessons for young people (both beginners and improvers) for only £20 for the whole 6 weeks. Don’t have your own guitar but still want to learn? Don’t worry; we have spare equipment you can use if you don’t have your own! \n\n\n\nThese lessons are perfect for those who have never played the guitar before and are interested in learning or who have experience but want to learn more. In these session you’ll learn the anatomy of a guitar\, how to play a variety of chords\, to read a chord chart and TAB notations\, and play a number of songs and riffs! You’ll also be able to play songs with other students and improve your overall skills. \n\n\n\nThese sessions will run as follows: \n\n\n\n7 – 10 Year Olds: 4pm – 4:35pm \n\n\n\n7 – 10 Year Olds session 2: 4:40pm – 5:15pm \n\n\n\nAdults Session: 5:20pm – 5:55pm \n\n\n\nThese lessons will run every week on Wednesday at Geilsland Country Estate’s Studio. DESCRIPTION:Introducing our youth open mic night\, the latest venture from Beith Trust Music Project! Join us on the last Thursday of each month\, beginning May 25th\, at Beith Community Centre for an evening of live music. Each month you will have the opportunity to come along and perform any songs you like\, no matter your skill level\, genre\, or experience\, in front of a live audience. In collaboration with The Devil’s Outcasts Motorcycle Club\, we’ll be hosting a weekend full of competitions\, live music\, stalls\, games\, and so much more. With a fully licensed bar and plenty of space for dancing\, it’s sure to be a great weekend for the whole family. We’re excited to be bringing various different activities and things to do at this year’s festival; including tattoos from Louis from Set Sail Tattoo Studio\, cracking food from Nosh Barmill and live music from Wildcard\, Thunder Road\, Drty Luv & Overdrive.
