DESCRIPTION:An exciting new event to celebrate all things Scottish and raise funds for the Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and the Garnock Community Campus Parent’s Council!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us as we gather to celebrate all things Scottish this February at our Scottish Celebration Night! On Friday\, February 17th\, we will be hosting our first-ever Scottish celebration night at Geilsland Estate; celebrating all things Scottish and raising funds for our local community groups; The Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and the Garnock Community Campus Parent’s Council. \n\n\n\nWe’ll have a host of Scottish singers\, musicians and bands; including the excellent Binky Blue\, as well as a Scottish Ceilidh to round off the evening. FizBuzz will be back once again with their fully stocked bar; offering plenty of prosecco\, spirits\, and soft drinks (so no excuses for not dancing at the Ceilidh; you’ll have plenty of liquid courage available!)\, and we’ll have a charity raffle available too. Every ticket holder will be provided with a free\, hot\, pie; either haggis or macaroni\, with their purchase of a ticket\, and under 12’s will be provided with a small snack.  \n\n\n\nTickets are priced as follows: \n\n\n\nAdult Tickets – £7 \n\n\n\n12-18yrs Ticket – £4 \n\n\n\nUnder 12’s Ticket – Free \n\n\n\nTable of 6 Ticket – £35 (saving you £7 in total!) \n\n\n\nThis is a great event for the whole family and it’s sure to be a blast. DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate International Women’s Day at Geilsland Estate by celebrating creative women in Ayrshire! \n\n\n\nInternational women’s day is a worldwide day dedicated to celebrating the various political\, social\, personal\, and creative successes of women across the world. To join in this celebration\, Geilsland will be hosting our very own international women’s day event to celebrate the creative women in Ayrshire and raise vital funds for North Ayrshire Women’s Aid.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll have loads to do at the event! We’ll have over 25 stalls run by local women selling their designs\, art\, jewellery\, and more in our main hall alongside live music onstage from local female musicians and bands. Upstairs in our studio space\, we will be hosting various different workshops across the day. These workshops will run as follows: \n\n\n\nMummy & Me Music Workshop | 10:30- 11am \n\n\n\nOur Mummy & Me Music workshop will be running from 10:30am – 11am for children 12 months and younger. We’ll have sensory play\, music\, singing\, puppets\, and so much more for only £3 per child. You can get your tickets below. \n\n\n\nToddler’s Music Group | 11:30am – 12:15PM \n\n\n\nSimilar to our Mummy & Me workshop we will also be offering a toddler music workshop for 2 – 5 year olds from 11:30pm – 12:15pm. We’ll be playing parachute games\, singing nursery rhymes\, doing bounce and rhyme songs and games\, and much more for only £3 per child. \n\n\n\nTripleAct Drama Workshop | 12:45pm – 1:30pm \n\n\n\nA drama workshop for women focused on improvisation\, theatre techniques and therapeutic skills. This workshop is for over 16 year olds and is only £5 per person. \n\n\n\nWomen’s Beginner’s Self-defence Workshop | 2pm – 2:45pm \n\n\n\nLearn basic self-defence techniques that use minimum force but maximum efficiency! Pressure points\, locks\, and defence techniques that could help you in a tricky situation. Only £5 per person. \n\n\n\nBurlesque Workshop | 3:15pm – 4pm \n\n\n\nA beginners burlesque workshop open to all ladies over 16; no matter their size\, shape\, or fitness level. This workshop is only £5 per person and looks to be a lot of fun! \n\n\n\nEntry to the overall event is completely free; but workshops are ticketed and very limited so if you’re interested make sure you book sooner rather than later!

SUMMARY:3 Week Beginner's Cycling Course
DESCRIPTION:This beginner’s cycling course\, running for 3 weeks\, is aimed at individuals new to cycling\, those that haven’t been on a bike for a while or for individuals looking to build confidence in certain aspects of their cycling or maintenance. Our instructor is on hand to tailor the session to your needs. You can choose to register for one or all three of them\, the choice is yours. Places are limited so please register now to avoid disappointment. Participants should bring their own bike with them to use\, but if they don’t have their own have a few bikes we are able to loan out. Please let us know in advance if you need one. \n\n\n\nOn Bike Skills – 19th March between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nIn a safe environment away from traffic and obstacles learn how to go on a bike\, use gears correctly\, use your brakes with confidence\, and steer with ease amongst many other bike skills.   \n\n\n\nBasic Bike Maintenance – 26th March between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nLearn how to take the back wheel off\, fix a puncture\, perform a simple bike check\, and perform many other maintenance skills. \n\n\n\nMaintenance/Led Cycle – 2nd April between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nA brief session on essential maintenance followed by a leisurely cycle in the nearby area. \n\n\n\nThis course is aimed at those over 8 years old and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We also strongly advise that all attendees wear a helmet when cycling for their own safety and try to wear high-visibility clothing. DESCRIPTION:Our Easter camp at the Astro is back for another year of Easter fun! This camp will run out of Beith Astro every weekday over the easter holidays with lots of art activities\, sports activities and lots of different sessions to keep the kids busy and entertained.  \n\n\n\nEaster camp is totally free\, but spaces are limited so if you’re interested we suggest you book your space ASAP! The days will run from 10am – 2pm and an appropriate parent or guardian must be present for both collection and pick-up. For safety reasons we cannot release a child from the camp unless a parent or guardian is present to sign them out. You must also ensure that your child is registered with Beith Trust before booking your space. This can be done here! \n\n\n\nChildren are welcome to bring toys from home\, however\, we cannot be held liable for any damage or loss of items. We suggest they don’t bring expensive toys and games like Nintendo Switch\, etc. as these can be broken or lost easily. Please bring a packed lunch with you; we will have small snacks available but not lunches. If your child is under 5 years old and would like to attend they must have a parent or guardian present with them throughout the whole day.New spaces are available! SUMMARY:Ceramics Taster Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We’re bringing a ceramic taster session back to the Studio in Geilsland! Come along and have a try on a potter’s wheel\, do some pottery painting and have a go at clay hand building! We have two separate sessions; one for children from 10am – 12pm and one for Adults from 6pm – 8pm; both on Tuesday 4th of April. This is a great activity for the whole family and gives you the chance to try out using a pottery wheel. Tickets are only £7 for children and £10 for the adult session.  \n\n\n\nDue to high demand we’ve added another session! This new session is mixed for both adults and children\, and this session will run from 2pm – 4pm at £15 per ticket. Each ticket will provide entry for 1 adult and 1 child\, and each child attending must have an adult accompany them. Therefore; if you have two children who wish to attend you would buy two mixed session tickets and this will allow 2 children and 2 adults entry.  \n\n\n\nIf you haven’t already please ensure you’ve signed up with Beith Trust before you purchase your tickets. DESCRIPTION:An unforgettable music experience \n\n\n\nBand factory is back! Our biggest and best music event of the year is back for 2023. Beginning on Monday\, April 10th\, we’re inviting you along to a week-long\, unforgettable\, musical experience that’s suitable for any style of musician. \n\n\n\nWondering if band factory is for you? If you’re a young person\, between the ages of 12 and 18\, and you can play an instrument (any instrument at all; we’ve even had bagpipe players before!) then you’re the perfect fit! Beginning on Monday April 10th\, you’ll first be introduced to our team\, and the wonderful Pryde Kilwinning who will be mentoring you across the week\, and then your bands will be formed. From there you’ll spend the next couple of days deciding on your setlist\, practising and having a jam with your new band. At the end of the week you’ll be playing a set at our showcase event to celebrate and showcase your hard work and practise. \n\n\n\nIt’s a great opportunity for young musicians. Not only to showcase their talents and perform in front of a live audience; but also to make some musically minded friends. Or maybe even be part of the Garnock Valley’s next biggest band! We’ve seen many successful musicians and bands come through our band factory project; and you could be next. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now! Spaces are limited so to avoid disappointment we advise you book in as soon as you can. The full weeks worth of activities is only £20 per person. \n\n\n\nJam sessions will run from 11am – 4pm and the gig will take place on Saturday 15nd April\, time TBC. Bring a packed lunch for your jam sessions (or pop into Mocha Jaks if you fancy).  \n\n\n\nWe’ll be taking regular photos and videos of both the jam sessions and the gig performance. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to not be photographed or filmed. We also have spare equipment available if you would like to partake but don’t have an instrument of your own. DESCRIPTION:Introducing our next round of monthly led cycles! Beginning in April we’ll be hosting monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, which is a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run on Saturday April 8th and Saturday May 13th from 9:30am – 12pm. Leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. DESCRIPTION:Increase fitness\, flexibility and social skills at our amazing new dance lessons. You will learn dance skills and have a finished routine that you make up as a class! \n\n\n\nBeginning on Monday July 3rd we’ll be hosting a 6 week block of dance classes in Geilsland Studio for 5 – 12 year olds. These classes are great for young beginners\, experienced dancers\, and total newbies and is a great opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills! 5 – 8 year old lessons will be held from 11am – 11:45am and 9 – 12 year old lessons are from 12pm – 1pm. The classes will run as follows: \n\n\n\nWarm up – each class will start with a warm up which will include cardio and stretching. Which will help with stamina and to prevent any injuries. \n\n\n\nChoreography– Lizzie will teach a dance to all the children which will help improve dance skills\, listening skills and will help everyone feel like a team. \n\n\n\nCreative – Each class the students will be given the opportunity to work with each other to create their own dance. After each groups has made their routine\, Lizzie will assist each group in teaching it to the others. This will help with leadership skills and will help each other connect. \n\n\n\nCool down – At the end of class there will be a cool down to help stop the build up of lactic acidosis and also to prevent any injuries or soreness the next day. \n\n\n\nThe goals for each session are: \n\n\n\n-To improve on dance ability \n\n\n\n-To encourage an active and healthy lifestyle \n\n\n\n-To help with leadership skills \n\n\n\n-To improve overall physical and mental well-being \n\n\n\nThese lessons will run for 6 weeks\, every Monday in Geilsland Studio and costs only £20 for all 6 weeks. DESCRIPTION:Our summer block of monthly led cycles is happening this July! Beginning on Saturday July 8th we’ll be hosting monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, which is a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run from 9:30am – 11am; leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. Primary and Secondary schools from all across North Ayrshire were invited to enter our sculpture competition; with this year’s theme being Climate Change and its effect on us and our planet. As usual\, we’ll have our line-up of summer activities based around this trail\, with the first being our annual treasure hunt!  \n\n\n\nOn July 14th\, from 12pm – 2pm\, we invite you to come along and find the hidden sculptures all around Geilsland Estate by using a treasure map. If you find all the sculptures successfully you’ll win a prize!  \n\n\n\nThis event is family-friendly and perfect for any children under 14. DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again; National Playday 2023 is happening at Geilsland! To celebrate the National Playday campaign we will once again be hosting a free\, family fun day at Geilsland Estate for the whole family. We’ll have lots of fun\, exciting things to do at the event; including\, but not limited to\, football\, arts & crafts\, karaoke\, a massive haybale maze and music! This event is totally free to attend and a perfect way to get the little ones out the house during the summer holidays. Drop by any time between 12pm – 3pm and enjoy all we have to offer. \n\n\n\nThe weather in August can be very unpredictable; sunny days\, rainy storms and everything in between. DESCRIPTION:Our group guitar lessons are returning for a 6-week block this Autumn. Come and join in the fun; beginning or continuing your guitar journey! Our whole 6 week block is only £20 and we have two slots available:  \n\n\n\n4pm – 4:35pm for 6 – 8 year olds \n\n\n\n4:40pm – 5:15pm for 9 – 12 year olds \n\n\n\nThe lessons will run every Wednesday (Except October 18th due to the October holidays!) from September 27th – November 8th. \n\n\n\nWhy choose group guitar lessons at Beith Trust? \n\n\n\nFun and engaging – Learning should be fun\, and our lessons are designed to be interactive and enjoyable\, enabling children to stay motivated and most of all be excited about learning the guitar. \n\n\n\nSocial learning – Group lessons provide a supportive and social environment to learn. Meet new friends\, help each other out and have fun! \n\n\n\nExpert instruction – Our guitar tutor is fantastic and is a great performer and tutor\, ensuring highly engaging lessons for all. \n\n\n\nCreativity and self-expression – Playing the guitar is an expression and this will be nurtured and encouraged during the lessons. \n\n\n\nConfidence – Build your confidence by learning new skills and showing them off! \n\n\n\nInstruments available for rent – Don’t have a guitar?
