DESCRIPTION:Introducing our youth open mic night\, the latest venture from Beith Trust Music Project! Join us on the last Thursday of each month\, beginning May 25th\, at Beith Community Centre for an evening of live music. Each month you will have the opportunity to come along and perform any songs you like\, no matter your skill level\, genre\, or experience\, in front of a live audience. If you don’t fancy performing you’re more than welcome to pop along and just enjoy the good music and great vibes. Entry is free for all and the event will begin at 6:30pm. SUMMARY:Dance Classes
DESCRIPTION:Increase fitness\, flexibility and social skills at our amazing new dance lessons. You will learn dance skills and have a finished routine that you make up as a class! \n\n\n\nBeginning on Monday July 3rd we’ll be hosting a 6 week block of dance classes in Geilsland Studio for 5 – 12 year olds. These classes are great for young beginners\, experienced dancers\, and total newbies and is a great opportunity to make new friends and learn new skills! 5 – 8 year old lessons will be held from 11am – 11:45am and 9 – 12 year old lessons are from 12pm – 1pm. The classes will run as follows: \n\n\n\nWarm up – each class will start with a warm up which will include cardio and stretching. Which will help with stamina and to prevent any injuries. \n\n\n\nChoreography– Lizzie will teach a dance to all the children which will help improve dance skills\, listening skills and will help everyone feel like a team. \n\n\n\nCreative – Each class the students will be given the opportunity to work with each other to create their own dance. After each groups has made their routine\, Lizzie will assist each group in teaching it to the others. This will help with leadership skills and will help each other connect. \n\n\n\nCool down – At the end of class there will be a cool down to help stop the build up of lactic acidosis and also to prevent any injuries or soreness the next day. \n\n\n\nThe goals for each session are: \n\n\n\n-To improve on dance ability \n\n\n\n-To encourage an active and healthy lifestyle \n\n\n\n-To help with leadership skills \n\n\n\n-To improve overall physical and mental well-being \n\n\n\nThese lessons will run for 6 weeks\, every Monday in Geilsland Studio and costs only £20 for all 6 weeks. SUMMARY:Monthly Led Cycle
DESCRIPTION:Our summer block of monthly led cycles is happening this July! Beginning on Saturday July 8th we’ll be hosting monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, which is a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run from 9:30am – 11am; leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. These are for your own protection and the safety of those around you when on the cycle: \n\n\n\nPre-start Sign-up form \n\n\n\nEssential cycling skills information course \n\n\n\nCycling Safety confirmation form \n\n\n\nBy signing up to this course you are also providing us with confirmation that we may use your details to record our programme and its attendees. DESCRIPTION:There’s treasure to be found at Geilsland Estate! \n\n\n\nOur annual sculpture trail event is happening again this year! Primary and Secondary schools from all across North Ayrshire were invited to enter our sculpture competition; with this year’s theme being Climate Change and its effect on us and our planet. As usual\, we’ll have our line-up of summer activities based around this trail\, with the first being our annual treasure hunt!  \n\n\n\nOn July 14th\, from 12pm – 2pm\, we invite you to come along and find the hidden sculptures all around Geilsland Estate by using a treasure map. If you find all the sculptures successfully you’ll win a prize!  \n\n\n\nThis event is family-friendly and perfect for any children under 14. To celebrate the National Playday campaign we will once again be hosting a free\, family fun day at Geilsland Estate for the whole family. We’ll have lots of fun\, exciting things to do at the event; including\, but not limited to\, football\, arts & crafts\, karaoke\, a massive haybale maze and music! This event is totally free to attend and a perfect way to get the little ones out the house during the summer holidays. Immerse yourself in a creative and educational experience that celebrated the intricate details and vibrant colours of the plant world.  \n\n\n\nIn this workshop\, led by our wonderful tutor Laura\, you will learn the fundamental techniques of botanical illustrations; from sketching to shading and watercolour painting. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience in art\, this workshop welcomes all skill levels.  Our skilled instructors will guide you in observing and capturing the intricate details of plants. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of botanical subjects and styles and learn the true extent of your artistic talents! DESCRIPTION:Our summer block of mothly led cycles is happening this July and the second Saturday of each month following! Beginning on Saturday July 8th we’ll be hosting monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, which is a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run from 9:30am – 11am; leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. DESCRIPTION:???Band Factory returns for our last event of the year!??? \n\n\n\nBand Factory is a one-of-a-kind experience for any young musicians aged 12-18. \n\n\n\nDuring the October holidays\, you will be carefully selected and placed into bands with other young musicians where you will rehearse and hang out with expert tutors and fellow young performers. Rehearsals will take place from Monday to Friday\, leading up to a gig where you can showcase your band’s skills on our main stage! \n\n\n\nBand Factory allows young people to have a week of fun\, learning and socialising\, without distractions; let yourself be absorbed by the music! You will learn the ins and outs of what it takes to be in a band with our expert tutors guiding you every step of the way. \n\n\n\nNo matter what instrument you play\, there will be a place for you – the more obscure\, the better! We have had all sorts of instruments over the years and will make anything work. \n\n\n\nBand Factory allows young musicians to really focus and dedicate a week to music\, allowing excellent progression and gaining bandmates and friends for life. \n\n\n\nYour band factory experience will run from Monday\, October 16th to Friday\, October 20th\, rehearsing each day from 11am – 4pm.
