SUMMARY:Summer Camp 2025
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to our Summer Camp 2025 – where every day is an opportunity for your child to explore\, create\, and make unforgettable memories! From Monday\, June 30th to Friday\, August 1st\, we invite children aged 5 – 12 to join us on a journey filled with sports\, art\, nature\, movies\, and music. \n\n\n\nOur annual Summer camp is designed to allow your children to explore various activities\, games\, and interests in a safe and nurturing environment. Whether they’re scoring in the Astro\, unleashing their creativity through arts and crafts projects\, diving into movie magic\, or belting out their favourite tunes\, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. \n\n\n\nTo ensure your child doesn’t miss out on the fun\, ensure their spot is secured by registering with us on Upshot (if you have already completed this form for another Camp\, you don’t need to do this again) and purchase your tickets for your chosen dates below. Each day has it’s own ticket\, and we ask you only purchse tickets on days that you are planning to attend. We understand it may be frustrating that we are charging this time around\, but we unfortunately were unable to acquire funding this year. \n\n\n\nAs a charity dedicated to providing enriching activities\, we rely on funding to sustain our activities and allow them to be free for our attendees. Despite our best efforts in seeking support this year\, unfortunately\, we did not receive the necessary funding. However\, we remain committed to offering our summer camp experience\, which necessitates covering costs such as staff wages and equipment expenses. Your understanding and support are immensely appreciated as we continue our mission of fostering positive experiences for all participants. \n\n\n\nWe understand that\, especially in the current climate\, not all families can spare this vital money. That’s why we’re pleased to offer a limited number of bursary places specifically for children residing in the KA15 postcode area. If you believe your child would benefit from our camp but struggles with the associated costs\, we encourage you to apply for a funded spot using the provided form. \n\n\n\nWe cannot guarantee that everyone who applies will receive the bursary\, but we will try our best to ensure everyone has a fair opportunity. \n\n\n\nAt our summer camp\, every child is valued\, every moment is cherished\, and every experience is crafted to inspire. We can’t wait to see you back for another summer of fun!

SUMMARY:Grounded in Garnock - Stories of Place
DESCRIPTION:Grounded in Garnock – Networks and Nature \n\n\n\nSometimes we don’t know what is happening when it is right in front of us! Whether it is on land\, sea\, sky\, above the soil\, beneath the soil and within communities around us. The Grounded in Garnock project aims to showcase\, shine a light on and further develop some of the amazing networks and nature within our area!  \n\n\n\nThe first week of the series focuses on stories from the land where we will hear about what is happening in and around the Garnock Valley including updates about what is happening at Geilsland Estate\, the strategy in the region on biodiversity\, the aim of the Grounded in Garnock project. \n\n\n\nWe hope to do this by inviting some of the local folk to come and tell you about what they are up to in our weekly seminars. They will then invite you to join them on a journey into the wonderful world of networks and nature in a 4 hour weekend practical workshop. One that hopes to bring new perspectives about our living world – where the soil breathes\, livelihoods are enriched and everything is connected. We will explore how we relate to\,  influence and respond to the land around us. It is an opportunity to stop\, breathe and look and listen to stories of the earth\, those of the past\, present and future! \n\n\n\nGrounded in Garnock has been funded and created by The Beith Trust and North Ayrshire Council and will take place at several locations within the valley. It is a 6 week series seminars and hands-on workshops which take a different topic each week focusing on exploring and nurturing the living systems we live in. We are looking to maximise the natural resource\, grassroot activities and infrastructure of the Garnock Valley for educational activity.  \n\n\n\nWe will learn about our role in creating healthy\, restored soil for growing\, interconnections between ecosystems; what we can do to help restore land; learn to design for sustainable and renewable energy systems; and finally consider how we can design\, create or get involved in an initiative we are passionate about that leads to a thriving\, sustainable future. \n\n\n\nSessions are open to adults over 18yrs old unless indicated. \n\n\n\nYou can sign up to as little or as many sessions as you wish. \n\n\n\nThis Seminar will launch the entire project and it will be very focused on sharing stories about The Garnock Valley and how powerful storytelling is to connect to a place. \n\n\n\nBuy your tickets at Humanitix.com

\n\n\n\nGrounded in Garnock will take place at several locations within the valley. \n\n\n\nYou can sign up to as little or as many sessions as you wish.Week 2 Seminar will be: Grounded in Garnock – Stories of Soil \n\n\n\nWe will introduce the film showing of Six Inches of Soil (1 hr 36 min running time) followed by a talk on the importance of soil health with a Q and A session. \n\n\n\nBook your tickets on Humanitix.com
