Our instructor is on hand to tailor the session to your needs. You can choose to register for one or all three of them\, the choice is yours. Places are limited so please register now to avoid disappointment. Participants should bring their own bike with them to use\, but if they don’t have their own have a few bikes we are able to loan out. Please let us know in advance if you need one. \n\n\n\nOn Bike Skills – 19th March between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nIn a safe environment away from traffic and obstacles learn how to go on a bike\, use gears correctly\, use your brakes with confidence\, and steer with ease amongst many other bike skills.   \n\n\n\nBasic Bike Maintenance – 26th March between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nLearn how to take the back wheel off\, fix a puncture\, perform a simple bike check\, and perform many other maintenance skills. \n\n\n\nMaintenance/Led Cycle – 2nd April between 10:00am and 12:00pm \n\n\n\nA brief session on essential maintenance followed by a leisurely cycle in the nearby area. \n\n\n\nThis course is aimed at those over 8 years old and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We also strongly advise that all attendees wear a helmet when cycling for their own safety and try to wear high-visibility clothing. This camp will run out of Beith Astro every weekday over the easter holidays with lots of art activities\, sports activities and lots of different sessions to keep the kids busy and entertained. \n\n\n\nEaster camp is totally free\, but spaces are limited so if you’re interested we suggest you book your space ASAP! The days will run from 10am – 2pm and an appropriate parent or guardian must be present for both collection and pick-up. For safety reasons we cannot release a child from the camp unless a parent or guardian is present to sign them out. You must also ensure that your child is registered with Beith Trust before booking your space. Come along and have a try on a potter’s wheel\, do some pottery painting and have a go at clay hand building! We have two separate sessions; one for children from 10am – 12pm and one for Adults from 6pm – 8pm; both on Tuesday 4th of April. This is a great activity for the whole family and gives you the chance to try out using a pottery wheel. Tickets are only £7 for children and £10 for the adult session. \n\n\n\nDue to high demand we’ve added another session! This new session is mixed for both adults and children\, and this session will run from 2pm – 4pm at £15 per ticket. Beginning in April we’ll be hosting monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, which is a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run on Saturday April 8th and Saturday May 13th from 9:30am – 12pm. Leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. Our biggest and best music event of the year is back for 2023. Beginning on Monday\, April 10th\, we’re inviting you along to a week-long\, unforgettable\, musical experience that’s suitable for any style of musician. \n\n\n\nWondering if band factory is for you? If you’re a young person\, between the ages of 12 and 18\, and you can play an instrument (any instrument at all; we’ve even had bagpipe players before!) then you’re the perfect fit! Beginning on Monday April 10th\, you’ll first be introduced to our team\, and the wonderful Pryde Kilwinning who will be mentoring you across the week\, and then your bands will be formed. From there you’ll spend the next couple of days deciding on your setlist\, practising and having a jam with your new band. At the end of the week you’ll be playing a set at our showcase event to celebrate and showcase your hard work and practise. \n\n\n\nIt’s a great opportunity for young musicians. Not only to showcase their talents and perform in front of a live audience; but also to make some musically minded friends. Or maybe even be part of the Garnock Valley’s next biggest band! We’ve seen many successful musicians and bands come through our band factory project; and you could be next. So what are you waiting for? Get your tickets now! Spaces are limited so to avoid disappointment we advise you book in as soon as you can. The full weeks worth of activities is only £20 per person. \n\n\n\nJam sessions will run from 11am – 4pm and the gig will take place on Saturday 15nd April\, time TBC. Bring a packed lunch for your jam sessions (or pop into Mocha Jaks if you fancy). \n\n\n\nWe’ll be taking regular photos and videos of both the jam sessions and the gig performance. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to not be photographed or filmed. We also have spare equipment available if you would like to partake but don’t have an instrument of your own.
