SUMMARY:National Play Day
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again; National Playday 2023 is happening at Geilsland! To celebrate the National Playday campaign we will once again be hosting a free\, family fun day at Geilsland Estate for the whole family. We’ll have lots of fun\, exciting things to do at the event; including\, but not limited to\, football\, arts & crafts\, karaoke\, a massive haybale maze and music! This event is totally free to attend and a perfect way to get the little ones out the house during the summer holidays. Drop by any time between 12pm – 3pm and enjoy all we have to offer. \n\n\n\nThe weather in August can be very unpredictable; sunny days\, rainy storms and everything in between. We strongly suggest if you wish to attend that you prepare for all weather; bring along a raincoat\, comfortable shoes\, and suncream with you. SUMMARY:Botanic Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a captivating Botanical art workshop at Geilsland! We’ll be using nature’s beauty and artistic expression to make beautiful pieces of expressive art. Immerse yourself in a creative and educational experience that celebrated the intricate details and vibrant colours of the plant world.  \n\n\n\nIn this workshop\, led by our wonderful tutor Laura\, you will learn the fundamental techniques of botanical illustrations; from sketching to shading and watercolour painting. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience in art\, this workshop welcomes all skill levels.  Our skilled instructors will guide you in observing and capturing the intricate details of plants. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a variety of botanical subjects and styles and learn the true extent of your artistic talents! The workshop provides a nurturing and supportive environment\, encouraging participants to explore their creativity and develop their own artistic style. \n\n\n\nWe have two different sessions running on Friday August 11th:  \n\n\n\nChild only session: 1pm – 2pm | Perfect for children aged 10 – 18 who want to try their hand at learning to take their art skills to the next level or to try something new! \n\n\n\nAdult & Child session: 3pm – 4pm | the perfect session for adults and children to make art together! Each child needs an accompanying adult for this class. SUMMARY:Monthly Led Cycle
DESCRIPTION:Our summer block of mothly led cycles is happening this July and the second Saturday of each month following! Beginning on Saturday July 8th we’ll be hosting monthly led cycles\, in collaboration with the wonderful Trinity Active Travel Hub\, which is a free programme aimed at getting people out of the house and engaging with our ongoing e-bike scheme. This course is perfect for beginners who are confident cyclists\, but new to using e-bikes. The sessions will run from 9:30am – 11am; leaving from Geilsland Estate we will meander through the Scottish countryside on a lovely\, leisurely cycling experience. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly recommend that individuals wear high-visibility clothing. These sessions are for 18+ years. \n\n\n\nIf you’re interested in coming along you must first complete the following health and safety forms. These are for your own protection and the safety of those around you when on the cycle: \n\n\n\nPre-start Sign-up form \n\n\n\nEssential cycling skills information course \n\n\n\nCycling Safety confirmation form \n\n\n\nBy signing up to this course you are also providing us with confirmation that we may use your details to record our programme and its attendees. This information will be used solely in Beith Trust’s system and will not be given to any third parties or used for marketing purposes.
