DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming Led Cycle Rides of 2025! These activities are perfect for getting out of the house and enjoying the beautiful countryside\, organised with Ride 63 and The Trinity Active Travel Hub.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll meet at 9:30am at Geilsland Estate to get our bikes ready and set off promptly. Each ride will last between 1 and 2 hours\, depending on the weather and the preferences of the participants. Our routes primarily follow quiet country roads\, with very short sections on busier roads. \n\n\n\nPlease note that participation is limited to 5 people per ride\, so be sure to secure your free ticket early to guarantee your spot. \n\n\n\nImportant details: \n\n\n\n– Helmets are mandatory.– High-visibility clothing is strongly recommended.– These sessions are for adults aged 18 and over.– Please ensure you’ve completed your Essential Cycling Confidence form and registered with Beith Trust (if you’ve previously signed up with Beith Trust\, you don’t need to do this again!) \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you there and enjoying some wonderful cycles together! Based in Glasgow\, Mairi and Katie bring a fresh and engaging approach to traditional Gaelic\, Scots\, and folk music\, creating an immersive experience for all ages. \n\n\n\nThrough Live Music Now Scotland\, they aim to connect with audiences of all backgrounds\, making music an accessible and joyful experience. In this special workshop\, little ones will be introduced to the beauty of traditional tunes through fun\, interactive performances. \n\n\n\nAbout the Musicians\n\n\n\n🎶 Mairi McGillivray – Hailing from Islay\, Mairi is a Gaelic singer and fiddler with an impressive musical career\, including being a finalist in the BBC Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2023 and a Danny Kyle Award winner (2021). She has performed at Celtic Connections and released her debut EP In My Mind to great acclaim. \n\n\n\n🎻 Katie Allen – From Callander\, Stirlingshire\, Katie grew up deeply rooted in Scotland’s folk music tradition. As a d/Deaf musician\, she is passionate about accessibility in music and has been learning British Sign Language (BSL) to translate songs for audiences. She has performed at major events like Strathspey & Surreal and Bruce 700. \n\n\n\nBoth musicians joined Live Music Now Scotland in 2023 and have dedicated their work to sharing music with underrepresented audiences\, ensuring that everyone can experience the magic of traditional music. \n\n\n\n🌟 Come along for an enchanting session of music\, movement\, and fun—perfect for little ones to explore the joy of traditional Scottish tunes! \n\n\n\n📌 Booking necessary; spaces are limited.
