SUMMARY:Employability with Beith Trust
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to launch our free 6-week Employability Programme this September\, designed to support people in North Ayrshire who are ready to take the next step toward employment\, training\, or volunteering. \n\n\n\nRunning every Tuesday and Wednesday from the 2nd of September to the 8th of October\, the programme offers friendly\, personalised guidance to help you build confidence\, create a strong CV\, prepare for interviews\, and learn how to use AI tools in your job search. Alongside this\, you will also be able to engage in voluntary work placements\, online training\, and accreditations; all for free! \n\n\n\nOpen to anyone aged 15 and a half or older who is currently unemployed\, this programme is ideal for school leavers\, unemployed parents\, and unemployed individuals living with long-term health conditions or disabilities. Participants will also have the chance to complete an accredited First Aid course on Tuesday 16th September and a REHIS Food Hygiene qualification on Tuesday 30th September. \n\n\n\nAll sessions take place from 10am to 2pm\, and a free lunch is provided each day. We also offer childcare support if needed and can reimburse your travel expenses\, making it as accessible as possible for everyone. To help ease you in\, we’re hosting an introduction session on Monday 25th August — a great chance to meet the team\, ask questions\, and find out more before the course begins. If you’re looking to grow your skills and take control of your future\, this supportive and practical programme could be the perfect next step.

SUMMARY:Grounded in Garnock - Stories of Place
DESCRIPTION:Grounded in Garnock – Networks and Nature \n\n\n\nSometimes we don’t know what is happening when it is right in front of us! Whether it is on land\, sea\, sky\, above the soil\, beneath the soil and within communities around us. The Grounded in Garnock project aims to showcase\, shine a light on and further develop some of the amazing networks and nature within our area!  \n\n\n\nThe first week of the series focuses on stories from the land where we will hear about what is happening in and around the Garnock Valley including updates about what is happening at Geilsland Estate\, the strategy in the region on biodiversity\, the aim of the Grounded in Garnock project. \n\n\n\nWe hope to do this by inviting some of the local folk to come and tell you about what they are up to in our weekly seminars. They will then invite you to join them on a journey into the wonderful world of networks and nature in a 4 hour weekend practical workshop. One that hopes to bring new perspectives about our living world – where the soil breathes\, livelihoods are enriched and everything is connected. We will explore how we relate to\,  influence and respond to the land around us. It is an opportunity to stop\, breathe and look and listen to stories of the earth\, those of the past\, present and future! \n\n\n\nGrounded in Garnock has been funded and created by The Beith Trust and North Ayrshire Council and will take place at several locations within the valley. It is a 6 week series seminars and hands-on workshops which take a different topic each week focusing on exploring and nurturing the living systems we live in. We are looking to maximise the natural resource\, grassroot activities and infrastructure of the Garnock Valley for educational activity.  \n\n\n\nWe will learn about our role in creating healthy\, restored soil for growing\, interconnections between ecosystems; what we can do to help restore land; learn to design for sustainable and renewable energy systems; and finally consider how we can design\, create or get involved in an initiative we are passionate about that leads to a thriving\, sustainable future. \n\n\n\nSessions are open to adults over 18yrs old unless indicated. \n\n\n\nYou can sign up to as little or as many sessions as you wish. \n\n\n\nThis Seminar will launch the entire project and it will be very focused on sharing stories about The Garnock Valley and how powerful storytelling is to connect to a place. \n\n\n\nBuy your tickets at Humanitix.com
