Spring has officially sprung at Beith Trust!
We’ve had lots going on over the last two months; including various fundraising events (did we see you there?), programmes, and courses for the community. Our fundraising Ceilidh that we held in February was a great night for the whole family and we were treated to live music from the wonderful Binky Blue and some tasty pies from the local Irvine’s Bakers. It was a great night for all and we raised a cracking £1,500+ for our local causes: The Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and the Garnock Community Council Parent’s Council. Our first ever International Women’s Day event was another great success, raising money for North Ayrshire Women’s Aid and getting the community involved in some amazing workshops like drama, burlesque, and self defence.
Alongside our big events we’ve also had lots of fun weekly programmes and events take off this year: including our Qui Gong lessons and Plant the Seed with Mari, and our Stitch and Sew group with Coco.
As always keep an eye out on our social media pages and website for more information and to be the first to hear about our newest ventures!
Geilsland Estate Updates
What a few months we’ve had at Geilsland! It’s been all go since January with our Fundraising Ceilidh; where we raised over £1,500 for the Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and the Garnock Campus Parents Council, our International Women’s Day fundraiser, and our monthly led cycles with Trinity Active Travel Hub. Now, as we move into April we’re focusing on our Easter Camp at the Astro, Band Factory for our musically minded kids, and the best night of the year: Beith Beer Hall! Read on to our events page for more information on these events and projects. Do you want to have your say on the future of Geilsland and what we offer? You can do so here.
Beith Astro Updates
Beith Astro continues to be a fantastic hub for families and football! We’re currently running our second annual Easter Camp out of Beith Astro filled with lots of games, organised activities, and supervised play to keep the wee ones entertained during the busy Easter Holidays. Nature Play and Free Food Fridays are still as popular as ever and still free for anyone to come along and join in! Every Tuesday and Friday 9:30am – 1pm and every Friday from 12pm – 2pm respectfully.
As always, the Astro is always looking for new volunteers with new ideas, passions and skills to help transform the space into the best it possibly can be. If you think you’d be a good fit you can enquire here.

Music Project
Our music project is still going strong; we’ve got lots of different activities coming up and lots that we’ve just wrapped up. Our music project led our amazing International Women’s Day event and our fundraising Ceilidh and we’ve got even more on the horizon! Our band factory experience is happening during the easter holidays, and we’ve got a new block of drum lessons and ukulele lessons available for Under 18’s to book into. As always we’ll have a brilliant showcase event happening at Geilsland after our Band Factory experience is finished to let the kids show off their new skills! Book your space for any of our programmes below now!

Art Workshops
An exciting new group is starting at Beith Trust! Led by the wonderful Coco, who is currently in her final year at Glasgow University studying fashion; we’re beginning a stitch and sew group at Beith Community Centre. All skill levels are welcome to come along and have a hot cuppa, a nice chat and do some sewing! We’re running two taster sessions; Friday, 9th of December and Friday, 16th of December, from 1pm – 2:30pm, and we’ll kick off again in the new year. We hope to see you there!

GV E-Bikes
Our E-bike project is still going strong! As you may already know, we have received a load of e-bikes that we’re able to loan out to our local community members to try for themselves. E-bikes are a great way to keep fit and get outdoors and they’re a lot easier on the legs than normal bikes! Some exciting news we have is that we’ve recently been donated 10 new bikes from the wonderful Energy Saving Trust in Troon! As the weather is (hopefully) heating up this is the perfect chance to get yourself on a bike and out enjoying the world. Workshops and Volunteering
At Beith Trust, volunteering is our bread and butter. We wouldn’t be the organisation we are if it weren’t for the continuous support and hard work of our volunteers. From tending and caring for our beautiful grounds and gardens, to working with our attendees at our various projects and events, our volunteers are multi-skilled and in return receive free admission to many of our events, free certified training and access to new qualifications.
We’re always looking for volunteers, young and old, to join us in steering forward new events and projects in the new year. This could be through our Lend an Ear befriending project, volunteering in our gardens, or events assistance. You can volunteer with Beith Trust by completing the form below.
