Transform your future, empowerment and personal development with our STEPS to Excellence course


Starting on Monday, January 13th, Beith Trust is offering a free 3-week self-confidence-building course, running from 10am to 1pm. This course is designed to help you build on your existing strengths, boost your confidence, and equip you with the tools to become the best version of yourself. The dates will be Monday January 13th, 20th and 27th in 2025.

Participants will enjoy a free lunch, have travel expenses reimbursed, and access a free crèche for those with children.

Winter Led Cycles

Join us for our final two Led Cycle Rides of 2024! These activities are perfect for getting out of the house and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Our next rides are scheduled for:

  • Saturday November 9th
  • Saturday December 14th

We’ll meet at 9am to get our bikes ready and set off promptly at 9:30pm from Geilsland Estate car park. Each ride will last between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the weather and the preferences of the participants. Our routes primarily follow quiet country roads, with very short sections on busier roads.

Please note that participation is limited to 5 people per ride, so be sure to secure your free ticket early to secure your space. These rides are organised in collaboration with the Ride 63 groups, continuing our effort to promote active travel and community engagement.

Join us for free after-school chanter and drums lessons block 2 at Geilsland Estate, starting Monday, October 28th!
Running every Monday from 4pm to 6pm, these sessions are open to all young people aged 8 – 16. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your skills, come along and learn how to play these traditional instruments in a fun and supportive environment. All levels are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary.

Join us for our comprehensive REHIS Food Hygiene course, designed to equip you with essential knowledge and skills to ensure food safety in any setting. This course is ideal for anyone involved in the preparation or handling of food, whether in a professional capacity or at home.

As part of Geilsland Works, our free 8-week employability programme, we are offering this comprehensive food hygiene course for free! Alongside this, lunch will be provided to all participants and we have a childcare creche available on-site for those requiring childcare.

This course will cover a variety of food hygiene topics, including:

  • Bacteria and Their Characteristics: Understand the types of bacteria that affect food and how to control them.
  • Food Poisoning and Its Prevention: Learn the critical steps to prevent foodborne illnesses.
  • Food Legislation: Gain insight into the legal requirements surrounding food safety.

Wee Pipers in the Park

Discover the joy of traditional Scottish music and various fun activities at Wee Pipers in the Park!

Wee Pipers in the Park is a special event for children aged 7 – 16, hosted by Garnock Valley Pipes and Drums and Beith Trust, at Geilsland Estate. This four-day programme will take place on the 5th, 6th, 8th, and 9th of August, running from 10am to 2pm each day, costing a total of just £20 and lunch provided. Participants can enjoy a wide range of activities from music tuition to arts and crafts activities, to sports games and guest performances!

Each day, the children will receive instruction in either the chanter or drums from our skilled tutors, making it an ideal opportunity for both beginners and those with more experience to improve their skills. In addition to the musical tuition, a variety of engaging activities are planned, including football, sports games, special guest performances, and arts and crafts.

An added bonus for the participants is the chance to join the National Playday event at Geilsland for free on Wednesday, 7th August, which is the programme’s off day. This event offers another day of fun and activities for all ages!

“Wee Pipers in the Park” is a wonderful opportunity for young people to immerse themselves in music, make new friends, and have a fantastic time during the summer holidays.
